Seven games now, and Warnock's already been snapped up.

They are getting very good at this losing lark. I am so so proud of the 82 mob today. Losing to Wednesday on Sunday has made my Day. John Snout. No hang on John Snin.

Oh dear promotion almost gone for another year. Could we have the announcement of a new stadium soon just to round off their season.

Today's loss is another setback in Johnsons Europe League plans. How much of his 5 year plan remains?

Today's loss is another setback in Johnsons Europe League plans. How much of his 5 year plan remains? Hilariously only one, which means they’ll have to win the FA Cup next year to go achieve it now that promotion this season looks unlikely for them.

Today's loss is another setback in Johnsons Europe League plans. How much of his 5 year plan remains? "Bristol City head coach Lee Johnson says he wants the club to play Europa League football within five years. When asked where he sees the club in five year's time, Johnson said: "I'm going to stick my neck on the line a little bit and say Europa League." Johnson said City aim to "fast-track" efforts to emulate Swansea and Stoke, who have both featured in Europe's second-tier competition in recent years. "I believe it as well. I believe it is putting pressure on everybody at the club and we can deal with that pressure." 3rd August 2016.www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36962717

As a follower of football , and although Rovers through and through, i take an interest in all clubs and there fortunes. From this perspective i listened to the post match on Radio Bristol and have reached the following conclusion, Bristol City ,whether we like it or not, are holding there own in a very tough league , among which are some big clubs with a much higher profile and pedigree than City, but despite this relative success, the fans are up in arms as for some reason they believe they should be doing much better and think they should have reached the promised land by now. There seems to be a consensus for sacking the manager, the same manager who not so long ago was plotting to and succeeding in beating the likes of Man utd, and giving one of the best teams in Europe a run for there money. The club have cashed in on some big transfer deals ,selling there best players consistently over the last few seasons which has enabled them to survive as a business, propping up a daily balance sheet which would otherwise look far worse than it does now. They have an owner who will ensure they will survive but even he would not, i suspect, throw millions at trying to reach the promised land at all costs, they went down that road before i remember and we all know how that ended !(appy days! tee hee!) I don't really care what happens over there but my advice would be ,'just be thankful for what you have' you have over stated feelings of entitlements and delusions of Grandeur which so irritates us mere followers of the 'little' clubs. Would Rovers fans be any different should we get a new stadium and reach the championship? i would like to think so but after a few championship seasons would fans want more? not sure, some will say you have to have ambition or what's the point, others will be happy with there lot and be content with there surroundings, and be happy to stay there. Would be interested in a view from some one like Wareham with his Bournemouth connections, a club historically playing in tier 3/4 but now at the top table , having experienced life there would fans be happy if and when relegation comes? Would they be calling for Eddie Howes head, or would they be thankful for the memories and adjust once more to 'normal 'life? Personally i believe as you get older you realise that the game we love and the club we follow may seem all important and very capable of playing havoc with your emotions at both ends of the scale ,but as this years tragic events have confirmed it aint really that important is it? our season in the 5th tier ,far from being a negative, proved very enlightening to me and made me realise that the game at the lower levels has just as much to offer, can provide as much enjoyment and is a much 'truer' version of reality than the fantasy word of the premier league and its riches . You may get the impression that i am not bothered about reaching the premier league, you would be right, you play your 46 games ,see how many points you win and if that total takes you higher ,so be it, you accept it , but it is not an ambition of mine, that is limited to surviving in good health to watch Rovers where ever we play in what ever division! Phew all this after listening to our neighbours complaining about there lot, but you know what? it was ever so funny!! not very sporting i know! up the Rovers!

For what it’s worth I think he’s a decent manager - like Halifax said there’s some heavy hitters and you can’t just spend your way out of the Championship
