He’s not a fraud he’s a coach with a good reputation as a coach who’s tried his hand at management and failed massively. We’ve all had a go at things that we realised we perhaps couldn’t do it doesn’t make him a fraud it makes him a good coach of young players and a crap manager. He comes across as a decent bloke but also in equal measures he comes across as a bloke who’s way out of his depth as a manager. Of course he’s a fraud. He is no more a manager than I am. His office will, no doubt, have a sign that says manager on it. His would have signed a managers contract. He will park his car in the managers space. Players play, coach’s coach and managers manage. His title is MANAGER. BG didn't employ himself as a manager, if he does fail the only people you can really blame are the clowns who employed him when he had no experience at this level.

For me it's not about blame at this time. We have a manager who has proved himself to be incompetent in that role. I'm sure everybody entered into the appointment with the best intentions, but it has failed miserably. However I will blame the owners of the club if they do not act now.

Garner applied for and got the managers job that was available. He didn’t mind well known football people saying how he was ready for the step up into management. Are you reading that same book of excuses that he is.

He will park his car in the managers space. Players play, coach’s coach and managers manage. His title is MANAGER. BG didn't employ himself as a manager, if he does fail the only people you can really blame are the clowns who employed him when he had no experience at this level. Some big names recommended BG for the job including Tony Pulis so in a way you can't blame the Board in that respect. However there is a business adege called the 'Peter Principle' and it states that everyone rises to their level of ineptitude. It was originally a tongue in cheek water take of a book called Parkinsons Law which was written about business principles but was recognised as being quite true. BG is probably a very good coach but cannot be seen as a manager. He can probably get a player to excel but can't motivate a team to die for the badge. He wants to play like Brazil but doesn't grasp that you need different principles for different tasks. To play differently to win games at different levels. DC was excellent at team motivation and gelling a group of average guys to perform above themselves. However he lost the plot and couldn't adapt when we got promoted to League One, I believe too soon. Another season in League Two and he might have had time to change to the prevailing circumstances, who knows. BG is not a manager for the Gas where they are now, I think we can all agree. We cannot play like Brazil, Barcelona, Man City or any other tippy tappy passing team. GC recognised we are what we are and got the players to play the best they could. The difficulty though with the Peter Principle is that it also states that pride prevents management from admitting its mistake of putting an unsuitable person in a job they cannot do. And that's where we are. He won't be removed unless 1) he goes himself 2) other matters such as falling gates and hence revenue fall sufficiently to scare the Board or 3) there is some kind of player or fans revolt. The last is unlikely although it appears by the reports of the last games that the players no longer give one for the shirt or the club/fans. Bottom line is we are stuck with an unsuitable person in a job they cannot do. The question is, does the club have the balls to do something about it?

We all know, if things do not change on the pitch soon, what will be coming over the hill, its relegation. Garner had the balls to say during the post match interview that there were far worse things going on, he was not going nowhere, and basically we should pipe down and put up with these inept performances. The mans deluded.

Starnes is the problem, Garners appointment is just the latest in a long catalogue of his Mistakes and errors in judgement - Starnes wanted a inexperienced manager to report to him who would not stand his ground against Starnes, as Starnes Continues to Re demonstrate his contempt and lack of respect to passionate gasheads. I (very sadly) had no choice but to withdraw my business’s sponsorship of a stand and membership of the 1883 club due to Starnes inability to acknowledge his poor judgment and lack of understanding of those with a lifelong love of Bristol Rovers

Just saw your goals on quest...
What a surprise to see Leahy at fault for a goal, and then shouting at his own players. The blokes a tosser.

Seriously? I'm lost for words. Thanks for your reply Baggins, I speak only of absolute fact, based on direct face to face experience of dealing with the man Well that's disgraceful that you were forced to do that. I almost feel as though I should apologise for the way in which my, your, club has treated you. And I've been supporting for 45 years.
