Yes, let's hope that gets the "monkey off our back" and we move on. I have to say that there were a number of players out there that seemed scared to take a shot, perhaps because we've missed so many in recent games. Fair play to Alfie, not unlike a goal he scored for Maidenhead and the celebration was a proper leaders one - kiss the badge, run like mad, urging your colleagues back into your own half to go again! What a lad!!!

Today was a scrappy game in crappy conditions but it was even v 11 and we dominated v 10 as it should be , and in other recent games we’ve held our own too and there’s been signs of decent football growing. Feels so good to finally get that win . UTG

Well Done lads. Not a great game, but didn’t expect it this weather. Nervous last few mins, then at 2-1 up with no win for 2 months that was always going to be the case. Think BG deserved his bit of break today, good luck to him 👏

Absolutely delighted for the manager and players. Now that monkey is off our backs hopefully we can go on an unbeaten run now. Onwards and upwards. UTG!!!

So pleased for BG, horrible conditions meant it was never going to be pretty but we've ground it out. The most positive thing for me was the spirit the players showed, it would have been easy to crumble given the run we were on but they kept going. Don't think there's any question that the players are firmly behind the manager. Hopefully we can kick on from here

We'll do well to avoid defeat next week at Sunderland, as they seem to be running into some form. Regardless what victory kills off any lingering fears that we'll get dragged into a relegation fight if we didn't win a game soon.

I think you have to congratulate both teams on actually playing some good stuff in those conditions. Thought we were stronger in midfield and Ed had a very good game. We are just slow with moving the ball forward - perhaps having only 1 up front doesn't help with that. Little got forward well in the 2nd but most of the time it seemed Blackpool were happy to sit deep knowing we couldn't hurt them. Luckily our players started to realise more shots from outside of the box with that wind assisting could make the breakthrough. Will Alfie ever score a better goal ? He showed courage to hit it from there. Lets hope it gives the squad more belief that they can score and can win some more games. We miss Sercombe quite a bit. BG should go for a strike partner for JCH - will he gamble with Timmy or is he waiting for Daly to get fit ? JCH needs the help. UTG !
