A huge few days i think. 2 winnable games, even in our current form!! Win both and i think it eases any relegation thoughts, and gives BG a chance to really work with the players without that pressure, and gives him a great opportunity to assess who he wants to keep next season. Dont win them, and lose one and it could get a little bit nervy!! Are they really that huge? The general census seems to be that performances are far more important than results currently and we've nothing really to play for.

Tranmeres pitch looks like a ploughed field, BG’s tippy tappy football will do us no favours here. That's worse than Eastville in the 60s.

The pitch would be a concern whatever form we're in. Hoping the team can overcome that hurdle first and foremost. Will it suit Tranmere to scrap out a sneaky victory?
I'm feeling good about our attackers scoring a couple tonight but it's keeping it tight at the other end that worries me - eradicate the individual mistakes and we'll be fine though. Really hoping this is the first win for BG and with it a much needed lift. The performances have been improving over the last few games so hopefully tonight gets a result to match.
2-1 gas win

But 2 losses and tranmere winning suddenly puts us just 10 points above them, with a lot of tough games coming up. I just think 2 wins would put any doubts to bed and relieve BG and the players of any pressure

If we can't even beat Tranmere then we may as well give up.
I don't think there's any way back for Garner anyway, but lose tonight and surely that's the final nail in the coffin.

Liverpool women also play at tranmere, so shed loads of games, better get the team to take buckets and spades. Maybe build a few defensive walls in front of goal too.

Rovers 0 - 1 Tranmere (Payne 89) Probably won't even be in the squad.

Not feeling very optimistic about tonight. After 4 hours on a coach our team will be greeted by a pitch resembling a ploughed field, winds gusting at over 50 mph and temperature that will feel like freezing allowing for wind chill. Oh yes and it might pour with rain and sleet as well.
It will be a test of endurance and will to win as much a ability.
Have a nasty feeling these challenges might be too much particularly if Tranmere score first.
That said I'll watch on ifollow in comfort with a beer and hope for the best.

Tranmeres pitch looks like a ploughed field, BG’s tippy tappy football will do us no favours here. That is diabolical. Not seen the like since Halifax, in our NL season

Of course there’s a way back – win games Football fans are a fickle lot – compare the Bolton thread to the Ipswich thread

Is that waterlogged or just muddy? I think it is tons of sand to stop it being a sopping quagmire! We all criticise the Mem, but our pitch is possibly the best in our division

Is that waterlogged or just muddy? The good people of Birkenhead have been using it to grow potatoes.

I'm in Manchester and its been watering down all day today and was the same yesterday. Hail and sleet too.
Quite worried this one is going to get called off.
