That was poor but let's not get too down. Players are probably exhausted and we haven't been able to make many changes because of injuries. Jaakkola getting injured early doors disrupted things too. We are still 8th and only out of the play offs on GD. Hopefully a recharge of the batteries and a bit of time on the training ground will see a better performance in the cup on Sunday!

We’ve been riding on a big wave of luck most the season and not keeping possession nowhere near as much as a top 10 team should be, I’d love to know what team gives possession away the most in league one as we must be top of that. We haven’t had the squad to compete the whole length of the season and that’s obvious! To me JCH Knows he’s off as his attitude towards the players has suddenly turned quite sour Yet again we play 5 at the back yet don’t pick players up and for some reason think defend in numbers will be enough which is crazy as you still have to mark players? Crazy to give garner grief but whoever came in nothing would be any different

Goal was a penalty as well That right there is the worrying thing. Coughlan’s football was awful most agree yet we did score a lot of goals. New manager comes in and we are conceding more and scoring less. Think the same would have happened under GC. We have loads of injuries and a lot of the player's playing, are playing with knocks. We have played loads of games lately. Even before the Christmas period, we had cup replays and trophy games midweek etc. You could see the player's were dead in thier feet in a lot of games. We were dominated at Ipswich, against Plymouth etc, but rode our luck. JCH does not look fit and Garner said he's playing with a knock. I think it's about building for next season now. Way too early to judge garner. Think our keeper would have saved 2/3 if he didn't go off and if Leary scored the decent chance at the start, it would have been a different game. Let's not panic yet.

Anybody noticed that we are still in 8th place and only out of the playoffs on goal difference with a game in hand? FFS GIVE THE MAN A CHANCE! He will turn it around. Bloody Cockrings faults the gutless lady garden! Faithful and true gasheads, time to show it. UTG!

Settle down everybody! all teams have these kind of form dips ,LIONHEART is spot on with his post, we would have taken 8th at xmas at beginning of season and the rest of the season will likely see us floating twixt 6th and 10th, as for having a go at new manager after 3 games ,ridiculous! he took over after a fantastic run of results which were never going to last so come on Gas eds chin up, could be a lot worse .look at our neighbours result today, shame eh!(tee hee!) at least all our ex managers won today, so pleased for Ollie! on to a 3erd round cup tie (there's a novelty!) v a very good title challenging Coventry side(with no ground!)so lets be UP for the cup!

That was dreadful I left early and I was watching it at home Stayed till the end but it was dreadful. Most worrying for me is JCH's attitude which appears to have really deteriated. Showed frustration with team mates throughout which doesn't bode well.

We seem to have come off the rails a bit here. I wonder how the players are reacting to BG's team talks? If he wants to play the beautiful game, then I imagine he's a very different proposition to GC's no-nonsense back to basics approach. After only 1 point in 9 I'm amazed we haven't slipped further. As it is we're still right in the playoff zone thanks to fortunate results elsewhere. Maybe this bedding in was bound to happen. If BG can sort it out, and soon, we may yet be ok. That’s reminded me that we don’t appear to be improving over those 3 games, in fact we are getting worse and it could yet get a lot worse before it gets better. Very little to take optimism from today. Defence, midfield and attack all a shambles and no sign of any clear strategy. Early days for Garner, but no win in 3 puts him under a bit of pressure now as this could become a monkey on his back like a striker without a goal.

To be fair there's still people on here that thought DC got lucky getting us promoted to L1. When someone that is clueless succeeds it is mostly down to luck. Don’t put yourself down. I’m sure you must have penned a decent post at some point. (perhaps not?)

Still playing 2 games a week and getting no rest. Could have done with going out of one of the cups. All catching up with the squad now.

Crazy to give garner grief but whoever came in nothing would be any different Possession doesn’t win games playing to your players strengths does and we clearly don’t have the players to play a patient passing game. That’s not a knee jerk reaction to today I’ve been saying all season when defending Coughlans style saying that he had found a way of getting a very average bunch of league 1 players playing above their natural standard. We did have games under Coughlan where for certain parts or the whole of the games we went a bit tippy tappy , Southend first half , Bromley whole game at home off the top of my head and it didn’t work then and it isn’t working now. At least all those fans that couldn’t stand a way of playing that got us to 3rd in the league will be back and happy now eh ? As for whoever came in nothing would be different we don’t know the answer to that but perhaps if we’d employed from within and kept the style until the end of the season we might have had a great chance of playing championship football next season. I’ll keep supporting Garner and I’ll keep supporting the team but I’m disappointed with the road we’ve gone down these last 2 weeks.

Very poor but it looks a tired team with energy which made up for lack of quality now flagging. With 9 players now injured there is no opportunity to rest a few. BG faces a hard job and recruitment will be crucial.

Excuses. It's Xmas. There's always loads of games, other teams have to put up with it too. You just get on with. The performances since BG has come in have been awful and we look a very different side already, and not in a good way. Fleetwood performance was the only one that in anyway resembled how we have looked the rets of the season.

On Sky TV today it said Wycombe have the least possession in League 1 and yet they are top.

So why start with the same starting 11 today, why not bring in Kelly, Hargraves & Adeboyejo, even Bennett & Russe? Why play JCH in every game when GC never did? Anyway it seems weeks ago since we played Swindon reserves in an EFL Trophy game, how can that have any effect over the festive period?

If the right offer come in then I think it might be best to let him move on and hope BG is allowed to use the money to recruit.
