Regarding mansfield,he would be better off going there with backing from their owners than staying at rovers with budget cuts and selling our best players.

As usual we get half a story and spend the next 200+ pages trying to work it out. Yeah I’m not in the “ he can f**k off “ or the “ it’s all the boards fault “ team as I don’t know what’s going on. Obviously that has no bearing on most in here on jumping to conclusions and saying he can f**k off or that it’s all the boards fault or most probably a combination of the two , but that’s the way of the world isn’t it Al? |

Well both more likely. Either way is it just me or does it seem a bit poor to use our league position to agitate for an improved contract when he has barely done half a job? All guess work isn’t it. It comes to something when Mansfield Town think they have a chance of poaching a manager 4th in the division above. I know Mr Radford and his wife are ambitious and supportive of managers, but still. Supportive of managers?! They binned off wotsischops after losing the play off final and are now on their 2nd manager of the season! GC was in no danger of being sacked here but they won’t fanny about if he doesn’t produce results quickly. |

A very sad individual I’ve got no respect for him leaving a job half finished. Let’s be clear here: GC was a defensive coach this time last year. The owners gave him his first managerial gig. Then they rewarded him with a 2.5 year contract because he won a few games and looked like he would keep us up, a ludicrous contract for someone who had won only a handful of games. His employer has done right by him and the way he repays them is by downing tools and doing a runner at the first sniff of a better offer? He is still a rookie in managerial terms. This Mansfield move could bury him (look how DC has found it hard to replicate his success) when all he had to do was see it out for 4 more months. That’s all. But he’s obviously a quitter. |

Is anyone surprised when GC has proved his ability but knows that the owners have no money and are relying on selling probably our best asset to keep us alive for the rest of the season?
