From what I saw of Mehew in pre-season he looked good as well. Tbh I have no hope for tonight. I'm not GC out yet, but lose the next 2 and I might be close Surely if you have no hope for tonight, at home, to a team that may end up mid table if lucky, you have to be GC out now.
I may want him to go if he hasnt gotten us playing with results by end of Sept, but I genuinely think we should win tonight.
Well because I have no hope, doesn't guarantee we'll lose, I'm just not confident. He definitely deserves more time & the rest of the window to sort it out. I'm just not confident of getting anything, but that doesn't mean we should sack him IMO.

Looks all a bit professional! Except for the Nichols starting up front shout! I'm ready to eat my hat, but he should be nowhere near the team

Cogs must find it frustrating that the best budget in years has been blown on average league 2 standard players and their all on too much money to get anyone else in due to the wage bill DC has filled the squad with crap and now left so until we can give them all away on free like we always do we’re stuck with them. Nichols/ upson/ Bennett/ Craig/ Smith/ slocombe/ Mathews/ mensah that was a lot of bang average players to bring in and no wonder we’re in a state now... love to know what wages combined their on... Smith and slocombe gone on frees and the rest will all go frees too. Sercombe is a good player but lost the plot and probably needs to be moved on. Personally I’m jealous of taylor going to oxford as I would have him back in a heartbeat. We won’t be getting anyone else as our wage bill is too high...depressing season ahead Coughlan signed 8 players i thought? Or did i just imagine that? Taylor would struggle with an ultra defensive manager,he thrived with an attack minded manager. Yes...and 7 of the starting line up in the last game were signed by Coughlan.

Have a feeling THD could be back this week.
Come up on Instragram "New week, let's go" wearing Rovers top...
Boy do we need him. Just as long as he is actually fit and we're not rushing him back because we are panicking!
Edit: Ignore that, sounds like he's out longer than I thought.

$10 to charity every time Payne gets off the ground. Does that include every time he is kicked up in the air?

I fear a stuffing from an organised side who know each other well! We on the other hand are struggling! 1-3?

Will be interesting to see what happens over the next two home games. If Coughlan sticks with the diamond and it doesn’t work and we don’t pick up st least one win then for me he should probably go because it will show he has no plan B for when plan A is clearly not working. If he mixes it up and goes for much needed width then fair enough whether we win any or not because maybe the players just aren’t good enough. Personally I think they are and it’s the turgid style of play that killing us. From his interview saturday he believe's that he has gone to gung - ho to soon thus far this season!! 😱😲 WTF.. So I doubt it will be pretty and I think it will be a draw or a Tranny win.😤 I saw quite a lot of football on tv this weekend and I was thinking about how we play and every side I watched had players balanced out across the pitch. What makes Cogs think that by having everyone in the middle of the pitch when we’re in possession we’ll be successful is beyond me. I hope he proves me wrong and we win both tonight and Saturday if he sticks with it but I just can’t see it happening. Every manager we play against is going to tell his side to defend narrow and attack with width.

I am by no means a professional manager so not claiming what I say is correct, but for me in my own opinion I would like to see something different from us tonight. I would like us to go 5-3-2 with wingbacks and try to get some width into our play. We have three very good centre backs and Kilgour and Davies would add defensive cover to help and back up our wingbacks which has looked like they have needed so far this season. Failing that and GC wants to continue with getting the ball from back to front as quick as possible I would go 4-3-3 with smith and adeboyejo running and working the channels for the long all in behind and keep JCH central. Would prefer to see us with width and get the ball down and play personally but could see us getting a result with either of the two formations mentioned

Our midfield is the weak link.
