How are they financing it? The mind boggles on that one but fair enough. Can they really build it in two years?! That’s a hell of a schedule to aim for. If we started now, it could be done. Stadiums usually take 18-24 months, depending on the size obviously. 2 years a stretch but 3 would be realistic I assumed he meant we'd be on the site and building in two years

I’m gonna honour my ( very) long standing promise and purchase my first season ticket for the new stadium. Can’t make all home games but if the club our gonna fulfill my life’s long ambition to see the Gas play in a purpose built stadium after 40 odd yrs of watching , it’s the least I can do . Fingers crossed Gasheads You've changed your tune. You said it will never happen. Oh grow up you old fart

2 years is very optimistic I must add considering nothing is public knowledge. In Fairness to WAQ I don't think he understands what he has been told. I think what the Professional team would have said was "2 years to get planning permission". Glad WAQ has now confirmed this.it has been an open secret for too long. The interesting bit if it's true that Higgs has actually bought the land and if is selling all of it or a percentage of it to Dwane Sports.

Lets all get greased up and have an ITKOff Who wants some? Quite a number of people have been talking about this openly for a while including on Gaschat. In the past a proper investigative journalist would have all the facts and figures detailed out but both the Post (Inparticular the post), BBC west and ITV west country don't have any journalists capable of using anything other than Cut and Paste.

Football is back. Very exciting time. Full of optimism. Think we're ready to start a positive campaign. Recruitment quite good, most players brought in from higher level, experienced with hunger and drive. I'm in the loop regarding recruitment. I like to know what type of player we're recruiting and do due diligence. Recruitment dept works side by side with management. Budget always at max level in regard to FFP. Top half budget. New ground: 3 years time new stadium. That's still our target. Definitely working towards it. Still looking at sites, but have identified one site (and others) we're interested in. One site is the Fruit Market. One of several sites. We're very interested in it. Got to get our skates on, already started work into planning permission. Long process. A lot of technical work that must be done. Work in regard to Fruit Market site. Can't put a timeline on seeking planning permission. Council being very cooperative. If we get planning permission everything else will fall into place. The council are pro investment and always work to the benefit of the city. Very difficult to predict but the intention is to get a stadium within two years. The finance is in place. Very credible situation, every party credible and we are optimistic. A Mem deal is not related to this transaction. The technical process of planning permission has started. Training ground is dependent on the stadium. Once the planning permission is secured for stadium there will be expenditure on training ground (The Colony). 3 hours seems like a very long time ago already here on GasChat . . . might extend my summer break . . .

Positive news and a short walk from Temple Meads. Let’s hope the family can pull it off and we have a stadium to be proud of. But up until a few weeks ago, Wael was scrambling around trying to find out where the "new owners" were proposing to buy this plot. For him to claim any credit in finding this site is a joke. The Consortium wanting to buy the club and this land have been negotiating for months. This was the news that Knowall and several others knew about for ages. Nothing like another lie to try and discredit what is trying to be achieved. What really is the point in it.
