Thanks for that, but I'll post what I like when I like. The only stat that really matters at the end is 2-0 like I said, but 1 shot on target after 90+ minutes is pathetic in my opinion. Why are you not celebrating?! Not a true fan imo. I'll save the pom-poms for another day.

If that's the only stat that matters then don't quote others. Thanks for that, but I'll post what I like when I like. The only stat that really matters at the end is 2-0 like I said, but 1 shot on target after 90+ minutes is pathetic in my opinion. It’s significant in so much as it suggests that we are still struggling to worry the keeper like we were in pre-season and also like we were for much of last season. Everyone is right, it is one game. But the issue is the argument that it’s a new team that needs time to gel is not really true because it’s the same midfield that created barely anything last season so for some of us rather than judging this as a new season it’s like a continuation of last season- and I don’t think that’s an invalid viewpoint because as I say not enough seems to have changed. Today was same sh** different day unfortunately. What will be an improvement is better home form so over to you Cogs, let’s see if we can rack up some home points early doors.

Very poor performance. Bennett our most creative player but didn’t look like doing much. Craig and Davies were bullied all afternoon by their forward.

We will win the league. You heard it here first. How do you see us doing that? Oh the irony of my post that you clearly missed.

On a positive note, I thought Tyler Smith looked very promising when he came on. Also Little is a good signing.

Not sure about the Barnsley loanee, granted he didnt get the service but didn't impress me today.

Fair enough, I thought he looked really good in the first half but yeah I didn’t really notice him in the 2nd

I watched the game on ifollow coverage which was a lot more professional than last season with instant replays and stats during half time,
The game itself i enjoyed even though we lost we never gave up and pushed to the last minute.
The one weak link is the same as last season, Liam Sercombe, very ineffective and not sure he even put a tackle in.
Once we replace him with a better midfield general we will be ok
very happy with them rest of them although the Goal Keeper reminds me of Smith from last season
Early days, no need for a meltdown by the usual suspects on here, with the notable addition of Pirate, But what do i know about football, I'm a GASHEAD

Without LS there is not much surely. I relied on commentary btw.

A fully firing Sercombe would be a great asset to the team, but for some reason the last 12-15 months he has just been way below his high standard and i just wonder why. Very ineffective today, had a couple of wayward shots and ran around a lot. Bennett did more in the first 20 minutes than Liam did all game PLEASE CAN WE HAVE OUR OLD LIAM BACK

As far as Sercs I'll give him a few more game before deciding. Victor will be useful as a sub to replace JCH and run at tiring defenders for 10/15 minutes.

Very Doom and gloom tonight so I thought I would put a positive slant on things.
We only 3 points off the automatic promotion spots!

Sorry, should I be more negative for you pirate? Shame on me, for not judging our entire season on the first game. I said before the season started we looked weaker and will struggle, as did others such as Pirate. It's not a case of we've lost a game so people are throwing their toys out the pram

No goal threat and a defeat. Who'd have thought?

Surprised we didn’t start with Ogogo and we had little bite in midfield because of it.
Forwards looked busy especially first half but very little link up play and it feels that little has been learnt since last season.
Woeful goalkeeper error that gifted a penalty and poor early concentration at the start of the second half against a team that I fully expect to be up there this season.
Some interesting scores in L1 today and big spending Peterborough beaten at home ... hoping for much better this month as things start to settle down.

The issue with our team last season was creativity and pace in midfield which the manager has completely ignored. This squad will struggle to stay up its pretty clear. Not having a meltdown, the news from Wael today is far more important then the inevitable defeat. I hope positive news on that front will give us the confidence to sort out the footballing side of the club sooner rather then later

Anyone thinking we were bad, have a look at the Posh forum. Worst ever debuts by five or six players. Pirates favourite keeper Pym, the 3ft 4" keeper was given 2/10 by several.Barton had done his homework on our 3ft 4" keeper, it goes on and on.

Was walking to my train in Leeds and got stopped by a blackpool fan that “works in the EFL” and said apparently Tyler Smith will get investigated. Didn’t really listen to him apart from that, what would he get investigated for or just a bias fan??

Again , as you chose to ignore me , where has the assumption come from that I and others didn’t watch or listen to the game ? Talking sense ? Why’s that ? Because he shares the same opinion as you ?
