So sorry to read this.
He was a stalwart of the 1973/74 promotion team. A no nonsense reliable full back.
Thanks for the great memories Lindsay.

Extremely sad news. I was in Frenchay hospital in 2002 in the same ward as Lindsay’s Father, he used to come in and visit him and we had a chat on a couple of occasions he was a lovely fella and very down to earth. I do remember him playing, I was about 12 at the time. RIP Lindsay, from all the Gas family.

Sadly we can confirm this news, that Lindsay passed away this morning. We had known for some time that Lindsay was ill, but quite rightly his family wanted their privacy. We'll pass on any funeral news when available / appropriate.

Terrible news... I saw my first Rovers game in 69 as a boy but I always remember that side from 73/74 with so much fondness.
Lindsay was a great player and my late dad would be saddened to hear this had he been here.
Rest in peace Lindsay, thank you for so many happy childhood memories...

Sad news indeed. Good, tough, reliable full back. However, the best memory I have of him is a flying headed own goal at Eastville in a 1-2 defeat v Villa. 😁 Thoughts with the family, RIP Lindsay
Just seen your post Meadgas - was quality own goal.

Very sad news. RIP Lindsay. One of our greats, I watched him throughout my youth. God bless you. Thanks Station for breaking this news. And yes, the team should dedicate a win in honour of his memory, and we fans should show the same courage that Lindsay displayed on the pitch., and be loud and proud cheering the Gas to victory v Bradford

Sad news indeed. We all have our favourite teams and eras, but for me, probably because it was where it all started for me, it was Bill Dodgin's exciting teams from 1969-72.
Lindsay Parsons was a key member of the squad back then, and will be fondly remembered.
