Doncaster destroyed us at the Mem, but we were poor then and they were on fire. They have hit a bit of a dip and we are a better side than we were then. However they are still a top side and anything up there will be an achievement. Here's hoping UTG We owe them one from the Millenium Stadium 2007. Though it would have been nice to win I wasn't too upset about that result I thnk beating the s@@t to get there made it a great day whatever the result. I sometimes wonder if we would have got promoted if we had won at Cardiff.

Three really tough games coming up - Donny (A), Luton (H), Coventry (A), would take two points from them if offered. After that we've got the "big three" games that are going to decide our fate: Bradford (H), Wimbledon (A), Rochdale (H). If we go into those three with 0 points from the above games, the pressure is really on the boys, so hoping we can get some points on the board before then. Agree. If we end March outside the bottom 4 I think we should be ok. But we have to keep our nerve. Most teams have had good runs then lost a couple and got dragged back into this fight. We need a draw tonight then move on to Luton match. And they have to be beaten at some time, why not by one of JCHs goals? UTG!

There's no way we can be in the relegation zone at the end of March, now (bar a couple of 10-0 losses).

We’ve done well and I always thought if we were above 21st at the end of March we’d be ok. Just. I’ll stick with that esp as with one game from the others to go we will be. Thanks AF! UTG!

Doncaster are on a terrible run. one win in eight & are for the taking tonight. They have big injury issues in the midfield.

After losing to Sunderland, I actually didn't think we were in that much trouble, and was pretty confident we would be ok. But looking back, after a load of good results, we were actually in deep sh**.

Yeah have to agree with you there, i wasnt bothered one bit that day, city was the game to win for me, and like you i often wondered what if we had won? maybe no shrewsbury final, now that was a proper day out, going mental when sammy scored, love watching it on youtube and laughing at the shrewsbury player with ashton on his shirt, knowing full well they were cussing like hell in ashton right then.

Donnie missing 2 key midfielders tonight - Whiteman and Kane. Another reason to be reasonably confident. UTG ! Kane was outstanding at the Mem.

Same. Think he got a couple when we spanked Swindon 4-0 at their place about 10 years ago. Lovely day out, except the bit about being in Swindon.

Going out tonight on a work do with clients and bosses. I would much rather stay in and watch the gas on ifollow to be honest.
I'll be secretly keeping tabs on the phone at the dinner table, I'm just a little concerned that I won't be able to contain myself if (or should I say when!) we score, god knows what might happen if we win the game!
This could end really badly if I have a few too many ciders and start singing goodnight Irene in a packed posh restaurant. Queue P45!
Well done to all the travelling support, be the 12th man as usual and help GC and the lads bring us home some points.
UTG!

I sometimes wonder if we would have got promoted if we had won at Cardiff. Good point. My best mate is a shithead and I remember him shaking my hand and taking the water and bragging about already being at Cardiff once we both had got through to area final. The thing is we had just started to hit form a few weeks before playing them and you could see the whole side coming together.I knew that us having the 2nd leg at home was key and as they say the rest is history!😚 I also remember standing in the stadium in Cardiff as Doncaster picked up the cup and saying to my late father that we will get to the playoffs and win at wembley, and we did.You could just feel it in the air at the time.I felt the same when DC did his Twentyman interview a week after us falling out of the league. Its early to talk about this already but I get the same feeling about GC and some of the players in this side if we stay up and for next season.I think if we do then next season could be a good un for us!👍

Must admit i'm not at all confident about the next 2 games. Thing is i cannot really understand how were picking up so many points with a midfield devoid of creativity and only holmes-dennis offering any real width.
Were battling for every ball and the defence has been solid as well as clarke-harris playing very well and scoring goals is the answer i suppose but i am still very uneasy about our situation.

Locks back in the side. Looks like 3 up top with Reilly and Jak both starting. 2-1 Gas for me. UTG!

Blimey GC going for the win with those changes? What's that 3 upfront or Reilly replacing Sercs at the top of the diamond?

I can't picture Reilly at the top of a diamond, he is better at getting in behind the last man. Weird thing is I could imagine Nichols playing there. Most likely with those players is a 4-3-3 but not 100%.
