Sitting in 8 inches of snow in Wiltshire the idea of playing a football match seems like a different world to me. I guess they didn't have any snow? Does anyone know what it is like over in the east? Any idea what the A350 is like between Warminster and Shaftesbury? I was planning to visit family in North Dorset but not sure whether to chance it in the morning! This might be best place to check... www.wiltshire.police.uk/article/4072/Find-out-more-

Although a bit of a bogey ground for us I'm quietly confident. Team for me would be Bonham THD Craig Locks Parts Sercs Clarke Ogogo Rodders Clarke-Harris Nichols I know Sercs is wasted on the left but I can't think of anyone better and he has to start for me. Classic 4-4-2 or if we put Sercs as an attack CM then 4-3-1-2 but could be too narrow. Bench Smith (although I prefer slocombe and I thought Smith might go out on loan), Osho, Lines, Kelly, Jak, Reilly, J Clarke .... Reckon we'll win 3-1 Nichols, Clarke-Harris and Rodders I can't see GC deviating from 4-4-2 so Sercs will have to get used to playing from the left. I think it's still well balanced because we'll have a 'stay at home' right back with Rodman hugging the touch line and on the left an overlapping fullback in THD which would work well with Sercs tucking in a bit. Personally I'd go with James Clarke at right back. He's probably been player of the season so far and Parts hasn't done enough in the last two games to warrant selection IMO. Otherwise I reckon you've got the team spot on. Liking your logic there. We could play J.Clarke away (slightly more defensive) and Parts at home. Would love to see Parts regain the form he had at the end of last season and I think he's getting there as his match fitness improves, he's got a decent cross in his locker and even bagged a few goals last season as I recall.

I know we need wins at the moment, but I think a point would be an ok result against a decent Southend side. Sadly I won't be there tomorrow as I'm in the Netherlands, but I'll be watching on ifollow and cheering the lads on from a distance. Fingers crossed for the win!

Can't sleep - must be the excitement of a Tom Nichols goal later on!
I agree with Pirate, a point would be suffice as Southend is not usually a happy hunting ground for us.

If we could get a win today, it could be immense with 3 of the 4 immediately above us also playing away, the 4th home to Luton, could see us up 5 places. Fingers crossed, bout time our luck changed a bit.

Both are good enough and can do the job we need.

We may be able to put out a full XI: GK: Ryan Clarke LB: Alfie Clarke RB: James Clarke CB: Jake Clarke-Salter CB: Billy Clark (The Judge) CM: Ollie Clarke CM: Darrell Clarke (player-manager) LM: Billy Clarke (1878-1940) RM: Billy Clark (1881 -1937) CF: David Clarkson CF: Jonson Clarke-Harris Anyone help fill in the two missing spaces? We've scored 5 goals since GC reverted to Parts & THD at FB's, plus neither goal on Tuesday came down our wings, if JC starts then he's got to up the attacking side of his game and stop back peddling when a winger runs at him with pace!

We haven’t done too badly on this ground since our return to league one getting two respectable draws, can see us getting another one today. Tough match, hope we can get something out of it.
My team? Probably similar to others:
Bonham (GK) Kelly (LB) Lockyer (CB) Craig (CB) J Clarke (RB) Holmes-Dennis (LW) O Clarke (CM) Sercombe (CM) Rodman (RW) Nichols (ST) Clarke-Harris (ST)
Decided to go for the Kelly/THD partnership on the left as it worked away from home over Christmas and really don’t won’t to see Sercombe being played out wide again. Hopefully Clarke-Harris makes his debut, from what Coughlan was saying in the press the other week I imagine it will be beside Nichols.

Southend have a defender on loan from the sheeds called Moore. Let's give him the Tomlin treatment and force him into a mistake!
