Still the best central defensive partnership we have. By far. by default, should have signed a new CB pairing in the summer.

out of nowhere we end up going in at half time with a 3-0 lead. That's why some don't trust your recommendations of 'good' players. What are you prattling on about now? By that I meant the first goal was gifted to us, the second was a free header from a freekick and the third a wonder strike, all after 25mins when we could have easily been 2 or 3 down ourselves.

First game I've enjoyed watching all season. Not only for the result but also the way we played.
Nicholls is a boy playing a man's game. Lightweight and moved off the ball and blocked from making runs far too easily. Just like Luke James. He needs to be moved on because I can't ever see him improving. You just know that if he'd had Reillys chance he would have missed.
Thought Coventry played ok; they passed the ball around nicely but time and again they had to go backwards because we were pressing them.
Wholesale changes next week then, except for undroppable Nicholls and Craig.

Still the best central defensive partnership we have. By far. The only defensive partnership that’s been tried for any length of time too. Which proves my point. Fair point. Statistically though, I would argue we have tightened up defensively over the last few games. That may be down solely to Bonham's shot stopping, or possibly the confidence that a more commanding keeper gives his defenders, allowing them to concentrate on their own performances. Either way, we are conceding less and it therefore would be a brave shout to split the centre half partnership now. For all that I rate Tony Craig though, he may not play regularly next season and surely not the next. Darrell's challenge is to find that long term replacement, whether he is in the club already or not.

I’m not a Nichols fan, at all, and today he did his usual, run about, attempt to head a few balls and miss, get knocked about and didn’t create anything. I don’t think he even had a shot himself, but somehow, Payne was even worse when he came on. He looked so unfit, didn’t chase anything, didn’t jump for anything. Both were terrible, just Nichols wasn’t so terrible as usual. I'm not a fan either, but speak as I find, he got his head to the ball that ran through to Reilly to score. WOW a Nichols assist.

I don’t think it touched him, Reilly did more of the work muscling out the recovering defender following his awful attempt at control and a clearance.. You can hardly call it an aaaisr.

Makes a good point about our facilities for visiting fans.If we are staying at the Mem maybe a roof or even another tent as we do treat them very poorly. We suffer at Gillingham with no cover but in our non league forays even places like part time Nuneaton and Telford, both of whom have been relegated since, have better away facilities and have the visiting fans covered.

A roof only would be better. Another tent would mean the better supported away fans have even less tickets
