I'm not a betting man, but I understand you can get 8-1 on Sergio Ramos being booked first. It's virtually certain that he will be booked at some point, so 8-1 on being the very first is pretty good odds I reckon!
My lad is over in Kiev for the game. He had to fly Gatwick - Naples - Kiev, and the route back goes something like Kiev - Somewhere in Turkey - Somewhere in Turkey - Heathrow. The first messages back indicate that the hotel in Kiev is not the best. He is with three friends, and apparently they discussed a rota to always leave one on guard duty !

Two goal keeping errors decided it. Nothing really between the teams imo.

Two goal keeping errors decided it. Nothing really between the teams imo. Two absolute clangers from the keeper and a world class strike from Bale. Losing a player like Salah so early was a big blow. I've been saying for ages Liverpool need a top class keeper and tonight only illustrated the point. They need to sign one this summer.

He is truly awful , absolutely stealing a living as a goalkeeper.

Angus Gunn and Dan Bentley played in the Championship this season and I would have them over Karius every time.

Looked to me as though he thought Bales bycycle kick was going over the bar,and although it was a great effort by the Welshman, I think Karius could have made a better attempt at saving it.

Could Liverpool tempt GK Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid? It would take a massive offer and unlikely I know, but would be totally worth it. A top keeper.
Gianluigi Donnarumma from AC Milan or Alban Lafont from Toulose would also be excellent choices for them if possible.

Don't see Oblak going from Atletico to Liverpool especially as he has just signed a new contract. I think Butland, they could do better than Butland but he would be an improvement on what they have.

Not sure why or how it wasn't picked up if it was genuine. Bullshit. Sounds like he's sought out a Neurologist to back him up and save his career. The reports say it's "possible" that concussion may have played a part, if indeed he was suffering with concussion at that time. If his spatial awareness and abilities were affected it would have been noticeable in training and led to Mignolet being selected instead. Dietmar Hamann had little sympathy the day after the game. Apparently he is a real flash bighead, thinks he's already made it and swans around Liverpool in a super car with flashy private plate. He needs to be bombed out and replaced by Jack Butland if LFC want to progress next year

Any mention of being " bombed out ", is likely to elict a fairly forceful response. Don`t mention the war.

The first bit about spatial awareness, well Ramos went into him during the game not before it, so unsure how that could have been noticed in training? No apparently about it. He's a premier league footballer and that is standard behaviour for one.
