Hi folks. I have been informed that apparently we will be extending the dri build stand in the close season to increase the capacity to 13- 14000 . Can’t give too much detail yet ie whether this is just the opening stages of a bigger development but let’s just see if the information given to me proves to be right in the summer. Utg. 14,000 FFS , I’ve got no chance of getting a half time sausage roll next season.

If we want to go wacky maybe we should borrow the plans for the 'soccer' stadium in Melbourne. Just in case people didn't know what a football was they shaped the roof of the stands to let you know...

If there is anything in this, it will be another tent rather than extension imo.
Still, if it increases revenue and in turn budget then why not?

Not necessary, I was told by a bloke in a pub (in Plymouth) that there are still talks going on with UWE!

Clermont Foot are my local team. I say local buts it's still just over an hours drive. Very odd looking stadium but still has a capacity of just under 12000. They are averaging just under 3000 this season. It's more a rugby city with ASM Clermont.

As much I would like us to be still in talks, it is hard to believe at the end of the day, it took 18 months for WAQ to evaluate and then fail to reach an agreement with UWE. If they were in talks again, would it be another 18 months of talks. Contract and construction is not my thing, but I don't know why it took so long I the first place, surely if both parties really wanted it on the first attempt they would have sorted it in a couple months not 18.

I have often thought that the UWE would come back to us though, maybe they sat back after we pulled out and wondered how much they needed this stadium, and then wanted to renegotiate, it is possible i suppose

Current capacity just under 12500. Rumours are next season our capacity cound be reduced as problems with access especially in blackthorn (gangways blocked etc) so maybe having temporary seating behing dribuild terracing and extending tent end will enable club to keep the 12500 capacity
