What would be a better is if more countries than just us to boycott it. But I can't see anyone else boycotting it. Shame really, Putin would have been gutted if there were more than just one team missing.

I think the team will and should go, but I do wonder if it will be safe for fans. Being English I think they will stand out and something may well happen.

As much as I like to keep politics away from football, a boycott may be necessary to protect the fans as much as anything. The heightened animosity between our two countries makes me fear that some English supporters may be targeted. Russia and Fifa have assured us before that this won't happen but how much can you really trust them.

I think we need to pull out 1 day before competition starts, that should cause problems

The team would be safe behind security,I'm thinking of the problems in France we had with Russian hooligans. I agree with your sentiments but not sure FIFA works that way. Sadly it can be the fans who pay.

I think there will be massive problems for fans travelling, and they won't get any help from officials/police etc. I hate to say this, but I genuinely feel that we could have situations where fans will be killed.

Go, they won’t be there long! I can see both fans and players having 'issues' with flights. Don't we have games quite far apart?

Arsenal v CSKA Moscow could be interesting and The Star (yes, I know) reporting FIFA under pressure to rehost the World Cup.
