Anyone watching the Spurs V Rochdale game? What a 1st half, that var system is total sh**e, first time I've ever seen a pen scored, then got disallowed because Spurs players had encroached (and Rochdale's players did too..) God knows how much extra time will be played. No body in the ground had a clue what was going on, I'm watching on the TV and didn't have a clue!
Its 1-1 BTW.
*Edit* 5 Minutes extra, just to see some players encroach at the pen, it just takes so long!
Rochdale are playing brilliantly, they just hit the post.

Technology is ruining different kinds of sports. Ban it, is what I say.

England Vs Ireland. 2 tries so far. Both awarded by bloody telly. If the sodding ref doesn't see it. Why not just leave it? It's wasting too much time and stopping the game.

VAR has been in use in German football for quite a time now and it is universally hated by the fans over here.

I think they've got it pretty much right in Cricket, using technology very well, and the process is well explained as you can hear the fourth umpire talk through the situation. Plus, they've limited the amount of appeals you can make, therefore ensuring there are not repeated hold-ups to play. Rugby has gone a little too far, and now it seems as though the ref goes to the television upstairs on practically every try scored....As an aside, why do the Linesmen/Assistant Refs in Rugby wear tracksuits? It makes them look as though it's someone's Dad running the line ! Tennis has it about right too.

And the Hawkeye system has made a clear mistake. Replays have clearly proven that the call that was challenged is not the same ball shown on the monitor. There is no consistency in the amount of time given to players, to make the challenge. And umpires have been seen to bottle decisions, and ask players if they wish to use a challenge. It just wastes too much time.

I've obviously forgotten about the primma donnas that infect the tennis courts

Last night, using VAR a ref awarded a penalty after he had blown the half-time whistle, and one team were actually in the changing room. The ref himself was just about the leave the field of play with his other officials, but was called back by the VAR team. Was this a minor league game? Um, no, it was in the Bundesliga, Mainz v Freiburg. The goalkeeper had to come out of the changing room to face the penalty! This is where VAR falls down. It should be up to the referee as to whether he consults VAR, and not VAR telling him to change a decision. As I said before, the real ref's are the VAR team now, not the officials on the pitch. link
